Ucartz VPS use Virtualizor. If your VPS is with Ucartz, manage it from the Ucartz client area and follow our guide to APIC, ACPI and VNC settings in Virtualizor. The steps below are for VPS managed with SolusVM.

ACPI, APIC and PAE are hardware settings of the virtual machine. ACPI must be on for a clean shutdown, APIC is needed for more than one CPU core, and PAE lets 32-bit systems use more than 4 GB of RAM. VNC turns the browser console on or off.

Steps

  1. Log in to the SolusVM control panel (the address and login are in your VPS welcome email) and open your VPS.
  2. Open the VPS settings.
  3. Switch ACPI, APIC, PAE or VNC on or off.
  4. Reboot the VPS so the change takes effect.

Note: Keep ACPI and APIC on for modern operating systems. Change them only if support or your OS vendor asks you to.
