Ucartz VPS use Virtualizor. If your VPS is with Ucartz, manage it from the Ucartz client area and follow our guide to installing a custom OS in Virtualizor. The steps below are for VPS managed with SolusVM.

To install an operating system that is not offered as a template, boot the VPS from an ISO image and run the installer through VNC.

Steps

  1. Log in to the SolusVM control panel (the address and login are in your VPS welcome email) and open your VPS.
  2. In the VPS settings, mount the ISO you need (if your panel lists available ISOs) and set the boot order to boot from the CD-ROM first.
  3. Reboot the VPS.
  4. Open VNC and complete the installer. Use the IP address, gateway and DNS servers from your welcome email for the network.
  5. Unmount the ISO, set the boot order back to the hard disk, and reboot.

Note: If the ISO you need is not listed, ask support to add it.
