How to Change Your VPS Hostname in SolusVM

Ucartz VPS use Virtualizor. If your VPS is with Ucartz, manage it from the Ucartz client area and follow our guide to changing the hostname in Virtualizor. The steps below are for VPS managed with SolusVM.

The hostname is the VPS's name, for example server1.example.com.

Steps

1. Log in to the SolusVM control panel (the address and login are in your VPS welcome email) and open your VPS.
2. Open the hostname option on the management page.
3. Enter the new hostname and save.
4. Reboot the VPS if the panel says it is needed.

Tip: Create an A record for the hostname in DNS, and ask us for a matching reverse DNS (PTR) record if the VPS sends email.
