Ucartz VPS use Virtualizor. If your VPS is with Ucartz, manage it from the Ucartz client area and follow our guide to resetting the root password in Virtualizor. The steps below are for VPS managed with SolusVM.

Set a new root (or Administrator) password for your VPS if you have lost it.

Steps

  1. Log in to the SolusVM control panel (the address and login are in your VPS welcome email) and open your VPS.
  2. Open the root password option.
  3. Enter the new password and save.
  4. On KVM VPS, reboot the VPS if the panel says it is needed for the change to take effect.

Log in over SSH or the VNC console with the new password.
