    Open a Technical Support ticket from the client area with the domain for your analytics. Our engineers install Matomo with standard settings.

    We send you the Matomo login and the tracking code for your first website. Reports start as soon as visitors arrive.

What the free Matomo setup covers

Matomo installed the way its documentation recommends. Anything beyond it is optional and billed only for the time used.

Why run Matomo on your own VPS

Matomo On-Premise is the free, open-source edition of Matomo that you host yourself. Visitor data is stored in your own database on your VPS instead of being sent to an analytics company, so you always know where it lives.

Server size depends mainly on traffic. Matomo recommends 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM and 50 GB SSD for about 100,000 pageviews a month, and 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM and 250 GB SSD for about 1 million. Above 10 million a month it recommends several servers.

Once a site has more than a few hundred visits a day, Matomo advises processing reports with a scheduled cron job instead of in the browser, so our setup does that from the start. One installation can track many websites and apps, each with its own tracking code and reports.

Is Matomo free?

Matomo On-Premise is free and open source. Some extras, such as heatmaps, are premium plugins sold by Matomo. You pay Ucartz only for the VPS.

Which plan do I need?

Size by monthly pageviews. Following Matomo’s own recommendations, VPS Standard suits up to about 100,000 pageviews a month and VPS Elite about 1 million. Above 10 million a month, Matomo recommends several servers.

Can I track more than one website?

Yes. One Matomo installation can track many websites and apps, each with its own tracking code and reports.

Can you import my Google Analytics data?

Yes. This is custom work, billed from $8 per 15 minutes or $28 per hour.

Is the Matomo setup really free?

Yes. Once your VPS is active, open a Technical Support ticket from the client area and our engineers do a basic Matomo setup with standard settings at no extra cost. Custom work, such as importing Google Analytics data or setting up Tag Manager, is billed from $8 per 15 minutes or $28 per hour.

Where are the servers?

These KVM VPS plans run in our USA data centre. Each VPS has one IPv4 address and unmetered bandwidth.

Do I get root access?

Yes. You get full root access over SSH, plus the Virtualizor panel in your client area for reboots, the VNC console and OS reinstalls.
