Redirect an addon domain when it should send visitors to another website, for example after a rebrand.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Open Domains › Redirects.
  3. Choose Permanent (301) for a lasting move, or Temporary (302).
  4. Select the addon domain in the domain list, and leave the path box empty to redirect the whole domain.
  5. Enter the full destination in Redirects to, for example https://www.newsite.com/.
  6. Choose the www option (usually Redirect with or without www.) and click Add.

Test the old address in a private browser window, because browsers cache 301 redirects.
