How to Remove an Addon Domain in cPanel

Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (Jupiter theme)

Removing an addon domain removes it from the web server and DNS. Its files and databases stay until you delete them.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Back up the domain's folder and email if you need them.
  3. Open Domains › Domains.
  4. Click Manage next to the addon domain.
  5. Click Remove Domain and confirm with Yes, remove this domain.

Its email accounts disappear from Email › Email Accounts, but the mail folders stay on the server. Delete the old website folder in Files › File Manager to free disk space, and remove its databases in Databases › Manage My Databases if no other site uses them.
