How to change password for an email account in cPanel?

Change an email password when you think someone else knows it, when a staff member leaves, or when the mailbox sends spam you did not write.

Steps

1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
2. Open Email › Email Accounts.
3. Click Manage next to the address.
4. Under Security, enter the new password or click Generate.
5. Click Update Email Settings.

Every mail app and phone that uses the account will ask for the new password; update it there. The user can also change their own password in Webmail under Password & Security or the password option in their settings.
