How to change your cPanel password?

Updated 1 min read

Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (Jupiter theme)

Use a long, unique password for cPanel, and change it if you think it has been shared or exposed.

If you know the current password

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Open Preferences › Password & Security.
  3. Enter the Old Password, then the new password twice (or use Password Generator).
  4. Click Change your password now!. You will be asked to log in again.

If you have forgotten it

Log in to the Ucartz client area, open Services, choose the hosting service and use the password change option there. You can also click Reset Password on the cPanel login page; the reset link goes to the contact email set in cPanel.

Tip: Turn on Security › Two-Factor Authentication so a stolen password alone is not enough to log in.
