An email forwarder sends a copy of every message for one address to another address. Use it for aliases such as sales@ that should reach a person's mailbox.
Steps
- Log in to cPanel (for example at
https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area). - Open Email › Forwarders.
- Click Add Forwarder.
- Enter the Address to Forward and choose the domain.
- Choose Forward to Email Address and enter the destination. (Other options: Discard and send an error to the sender, or Pipe to a Program.)
- Click Add Forwarder.
The address does not need its own mailbox. If a mailbox with the same name exists, it still receives its own copy.
Note: Forwarding to Gmail, Outlook.com or Yahoo can cause delivery problems, because those providers judge forwarded spam against our server. For personal copies, prefer fetching the mail with the provider's "check mail from other accounts" feature.
