How to Create or Delete Folders Using FileZilla FTP Client

You can create and delete folders on the server directly in FileZilla.

Create a folder

1. Connect to your account and open the parent folder in the right-hand (server) panel.
2. Right-click an empty area and choose Create directory (or Create directory and enter it).
3. Type the name and click OK.

Delete a folder

1. Right-click the folder in the server panel and choose Delete.
2. Confirm. FileZilla deletes the folder and everything in it.

Note: Deletions on the server cannot be undone. Download a copy first if you might need the files.
