How to Write and Publish Your First Blog Post in WordPress

WordPress uses the block editor: each paragraph, image or heading is a block you can move and style.

Steps

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard (https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
2. Open Posts › Add Post.
3. Type the title at the top.
4. Click below the title and start writing. Press Enter for a new paragraph, or type / to choose a block such as Image or Heading.
5. In the right-hand Post panel, choose a category, add tags and set a featured image.
6. Click Publish (top right), check the settings, and click Publish again.

Tip: Use Save draft to finish later, and Preview to see the post as visitors will.
