A new WordPress site comes with a sample post ("Hello world!"), a sample comment and a sample page. Remove them before you publish your site.

Steps

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard (https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
  2. Open Posts › All Posts, hover over "Hello world!" and click Trash.
  3. Open Comments, hover over the comment from "A WordPress Commenter" and click Trash.
  4. Open Pages › All Pages, hover over "Sample Page" and click Trash (or edit it and reuse it).

Trashed items are deleted automatically after 30 days. To remove them now, open the Trash view of each list and click Empty Trash.
