How to Change the PHP Version for Your Domain in cPanel

Updated 1 min read

Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (Jupiter theme)

Each domain in your account can use its own PHP version. Check which versions your website software supports before you change it.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Open Software › MultiPHP Manager.
  3. Tick the domain you want to change.
  4. Choose the version from PHP Version at the top right and click Apply.
  5. Open your website and check that it works.

Note: On servers with CloudLinux, the version may be set with Software › Select PHP Version instead. If MultiPHP Manager is not in your cPanel, use that option.
