How to Reload OS in Virtualizor?

Updated 1 min read

Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: Virtualizor VPS panel (end user)

Reloading (reinstalling) the operating system gives you a clean VPS. It erases all data on the VPS disk.

In the Virtualizor panel

  1. Back up anything you need.
  2. Log in to the Ucartz client area, open Services › My Services and click your VPS. The Virtualizor VPS dashboard is on the service page. (You can also log in to the Virtualizor panel directly with the address in your VPS welcome email and open the VPS from List VPS.)
  3. Click OS Re-Install, choose the distribution and version, enter a new root password and click Reinstall.

From the Ucartz client area

You can also reinstall from the client area: see "How to Reload the VPS OS using Ucartz client area?".

After a few minutes, log in over SSH with the new password.
