Yes. Every cPanel hosting account includes Terminal, a command line that opens in your browser. No extra software is needed.
Open Terminal
- Log in to cPanel (for example at
https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area). - Open Advanced › Terminal.
- Read the notice the first time and click I understand and want to proceed.
The shell runs as your own cPanel user and only has access to your account. You can use common tools such as ls, git, composer, wp (WP-CLI, where installed), php and mysql. There is no root access on shared hosting.
Connect with your own SSH program
You can also log in with an SSH client such as PuTTY or the ssh command. Add or import your public key in Security › SSH Access › Manage SSH Keys and authorise it. If you do not know the SSH host name or port for your server, ask our support team.
Note: For root access, your own software stack or long-running processes, use a VPS or dedicated server instead of shared hosting.
