Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (WHM, root access)

On a cPanel server, add extra IP addresses through WHM, so cPanel knows about them and can assign them to accounts.

With WHM

  1. Log in to WHM as root (https://your-server:2087).
  2. Open IP Functions › Add a New IP Address.
  3. Enter the IP address, or a range such as 192.0.2.10-20, and choose the subnet mask.
  4. Click Submit.

From the command line

whmapi1 addips ips='192.0.2.10' netmask='255.255.255.0'

Check the result in IP Functions › Show or Delete Current IP Addresses.

Note: Only add addresses that are routed to your server. On a Ucartz VPS or dedicated server, order additional IPs from the client area; we route them to your server and send you the details.
