How to access your cPanel and site using temporary URL?

Before your domain points to our servers, you can still log in to cPanel and check your website.

Open cPanel before DNS changes

  • Use the server's IP address or hostname from your welcome email: https://SERVER-IP:2083 or https://server-hostname:2083.
  • Ucartz customers can also log in from the client area: Services › your hosting › the cPanel login button.

Preview your website

The reliable way is to tell only your own computer where the domain lives, with the hosts file:

  1. Open the hosts file as administrator: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts on Windows, or /etc/hosts on macOS and Linux.
  2. Add a line with the server IP and your domain:
    203.0.113.10 example.com www.example.com
  3. Save it and open your domain in a browser. You now see the site on the new server; everyone else still sees the old one.
  4. Remove the line when you are done.

Note: The browser may warn about the SSL certificate until AutoSSL can issue one after the DNS change. That is expected for a preview.
