Edit an A record to point a domain or subdomain to a new server IP address, for example after a migration.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Open Domains › Zone Editor and click Manage next to the domain.
  3. Use the A filter to list the A records.
  4. Click Edit next to the record, change the IP address in Record and click Save Record.
  5. To remove a record, click Delete and confirm.

Tip: Before a planned move, lower the TTL (for example to 300) a day in advance, so the new address takes effect quickly.

Note: Deleting the A record of your main domain or www takes your website offline.
