From cPanel you can restore the parts of a backup that belong to your account: your home directory (website files), MySQL databases, and email forwarders and filters.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
  2. Open Files › Backup.
  3. Under Restore a Home Directory Backup, click Choose File, select a home directory backup (.tar.gz) and click Upload.
  4. To restore a database, use Restore a MySQL Database backup and upload the .sql.gz file for that database.
  5. To restore mail forwarders or filters, upload the matching file under Restore Email Forwarders or Restore Email Filters.

Note: Restoring overwrites files and database tables with the same names. Download a fresh backup first if you may need the current data.

Note: A full account backup (backup-…_username.tar.gz) can only be restored by the server administrator. Open a support ticket and tell us where the file is.
