ImageMagick is a tool for converting and editing images. PHP uses it through the imagick extension.

Install ImageMagick (root)

dnf install epel-release && dnf install ImageMagick ImageMagick-devel    # AlmaLinux / Rocky
apt install imagemagick libmagickwand-dev # Ubuntu / Debian

Add the PHP extension

On cPanel servers, install imagick with WHM › Software › Module Installers › PHP PECL for each PHP version. See also "Install ImageMagick and Imagick on a cPanel Server".

Check with convert -version and php -m | grep imagick.
