The ionCube Loader runs PHP files encoded with ionCube. Install the loader that matches your PHP version.

cPanel servers

In WHM › Software › EasyApache 4 › Customize › PHP Extensions, search for ioncube and enable it for your PHP versions (see "cPanel error: ionCube not installed error").

Other servers

  1. Download the Linux 64-bit loaders from ionCube's website and unpack them.
  2. Copy the loader for your PHP version (for example ioncube_loader_lin_8.3.so) to PHP's extension folder.
  3. Add zend_extension=ioncube_loader_lin_8.3.so to a new .ini file loaded before other Zend extensions, and restart PHP.

Check with php -v, which shows "with the ionCube PHP Loader".
