On cPanel servers, Apache is provided by EasyApache 4 as normal system packages (ea-apache24). It is updated with the rest of the system, so there is no separate Apache update tool any more. (The old /scripts/easyapache command belonged to EasyApache 3.)

Keep Apache up to date

  • Let cPanel's nightly updates run: WHM › Server Configuration › Update Preferences.
  • Or update manually as root: dnf update "ea-*" (yum on older systems).

Change Apache modules or MPM

In WHM, open Software › EasyApache 4, click Customize, switch modules on or off, then Review and Provision.

Check the running version with httpd -v.
