Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: InterWorx (NodeWorx/SiteWorx) with PHP-FPM
CentOS 6/7 and PHP 5.4 to 7.1 are end of life, and adding the Remi repository by hand is no longer needed. Current InterWorx versions install several PHP versions themselves and run them with PHP-FPM.
Install PHP versions in NodeWorx
- Log in to NodeWorx as administrator and open System Services › Web Server.
- In Multiple PHP Versions, click Enable if it is not active yet.
- Tick the PHP versions you want (use 8.2 or newer for new sites) and confirm. InterWorx installs and configures them.
Let accounts use them
- In NodeWorx, allow the versions for the SiteWorx accounts (per account or package).
- In SiteWorx, choose the PHP version for each domain in its PHP settings.
Change the server's default PHP mode and version on the same Web Server page. Test your sites after switching: older applications may not work with PHP 8.
Note: Keep InterWorx itself updated; its PHP packages are updated together with the panel.
