How do I transfer my existing website contents?

How you move a website to Ucartz depends on what your old host uses, and whether your plan includes free migration.

Free migration by our team

For managed web hosting plans, free migration is available within 30 days of sign-up. Open a support ticket with your old host's cPanel (or other panel) login, or FTP and database details, and the domains to move. Our aim is to finish within 72 hours. Migration charges may apply when the old host uses a different control panel or a manual move is needed; unmanaged servers are not included. See our terms of service for the full conditions.

Moving it yourself from another cPanel host

1. At the old host, open Files › Backup and generate a Full Account Backup.
2. Download it, or send it by FTP to your new account's home directory.
3. Open a support ticket to ask for the backup to be restored. (Full backups can only be restored by the server administrator.)

From a host without cPanel

1. Download your website files over FTP and export each database with phpMyAdmin.
2. Upload the files to public_html in your new account, and create and import the databases.
3. Update your application's configuration with the new database details, then recreate your email accounts.

Change your domain's nameservers only after you have checked the site on the new server, so visitors do not see a half-finished copy.
