How do you download raw access logs ?

Raw access logs record every request to your website: the visitor's IP address, the time, the page, the status code and the browser. They are useful for tracking errors, bots and attacks.

Download the logs

1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
2. Open Metrics › Raw Access.
3. Under Download Current Raw Access Logs, click the domain. You get a compressed .gz file of the current log.
4. Older, archived logs are listed further down the page if archiving is on.

Keep older logs

In Configure Logs, tick Archive logs in your home directory at the end of each stats run every 24 hours and click Save. Archived logs are kept in the logs folder of your home directory. Tick Remove the previous month's archived logs to stop them filling your disk.

Tip: Open the file with any text editor after unpacking it, or with a log analyser such as GoAccess.
