If File Manager shows your folders but every folder looks empty, your account is usually over its disk quota. File Manager needs a little free space to work, and without it cannot list files.

What to do

  1. Check the Disk Usage figure in the Statistics panel on the cPanel home page. If it is at or near 100%, that is the cause.
  2. Free some space: delete old backups and large error_log files over FTP, or empty large mailboxes in Email › Email Disk Usage.
  3. Reload File Manager.

If you cannot free enough space, upgrade your plan from the client area, or open a support ticket and we can help.

Note: If you are well below your quota, clear your browser cache and try another browser. If the problem stays, contact support with a screenshot.
