A WHM package is a reusable template of resource limits and settings you assign to a hosting account, so you do not have to configure the same values by hand every time you create one. Add one under Packages, then Add a Package.
Steps
- In WHM, go to Packages, then Add a Package.
- Give it a Package Name.
- Set the resource limits for the package (see below).
- Set the account settings for the package (see below).
- Click Add.
Resource limits
- Disk Space Quota: in megabytes.
- Monthly Bandwidth Limit: in megabytes, not gigabytes.
- Max FTP Accounts
- Max Email Accounts
- Max Quota per Email Address: in megabytes.
- Max Mailing Lists
- Max SQL Databases
- Max Sub Domains
- Max Parked Domains
- Max Addon Domains
- Max Passenger Applications: Ruby, Python or Node.js applications run through Phusion Passenger.
- Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed: caps how many messages the account can send per hour.
- Maximum Percentage of Failed or Deferred Messages a Domain May Send Per Hour: an anti-spam/abuse limit.

- Dedicated IP: give the account its own IP address instead of sharing the server's.
- Shell Access
- CGI Access
- Digest Authentication at account creation
- cPanel Theme
- Feature List: which cPanel features the account can see and use.
- Locale
If any server-installed plugins add their own package extensions, those show up as additional, optional settings at the bottom of the same form.
Once added, a package cannot be changed to add or remove its extensions from the ones already assigned to it; to change that, create a new package or make the change through WHM's API instead.
