CentOS 8 is end of life. CWP has a dedicated installer for version 9 systems; this guide uses AlmaLinux 9 or Rocky Linux 9.

Requirements

  • A fresh AlmaLinux 9 or Rocky Linux 9 server (an installer for version 8 also exists), 64-bit.
  • At least 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended) and 20 GB disk.
  • A hostname such as server.example.com that resolves to the server.

Note: Install a hosting control panel only on a freshly installed server. Panels configure the web server, mail, DNS and firewall themselves, and can break or be broken by software you installed earlier.

Install

dnf -y install wget
dnf -y update && reboot
# after the reboot:
cd /usr/local/src
wget http://centos-webpanel.com/cwp-el9-latest
sh cwp-el9-latest

The installation takes 20 to 60 minutes. At the end it shows the login address and asks you to reboot.

Log in

The admin panel is at https://SERVER-IP:2031 (or http://SERVER-IP:2030); log in as root. User panels run on ports 2082/2083. Set the nameservers, shared IP and a hostname SSL certificate first.

Tip: Prefer not to maintain the panel yourself? Ucartz offers a Managed CWP VPS with CWP installed and looked after by our team.
