"Invalid password" in the SHOUTcast log when you stream with Music Player Daemon (MPD) usually means MPD is using the Icecast protocol instead of SHOUTcast.
Fix
In the audio_output section of mpd.conf for your stream, set the protocol to SHOUTcast:
audio_output {
type "shout"
protocol "shoutcast"
...
}
Restart MPD. Also check that the password matches the source password in Centova Cast.
