Can I use Shoutcast or Icecast with either control panel?

Yes. Both streaming servers work with both Centova Cast and SonicPanel, and the price of a plan is the same for all four combinations. Pick your choices in the plan picker at the top of the page.

How do I choose the size of my plan?

Each plan shows the bit rate of the stream and the number of listeners it allows. Choose the number of listeners you expect at the same time. The Unlimited plan has no listener limit.

Is the bandwidth really unmetered?

Yes. All radio plans list unmetered bandwidth, so you are not charged for what your listeners use.

How long until my radio is ready?

Your radio account is created automatically once we receive your payment. The details for your control panel are then available in your client area.

Can I choose the server location?

New radio accounts are set up on the first available server. If you need a particular location or hardware, contact us before you order; custom setups are possible on request.

Do you offer reseller radio hosting?

Yes. If you want to sell radio hosting to your own customers, see our Shoutcast and Icecast reseller plans.

What is SHOUTcast?

SHOUTcast is audio streaming software that allows anyone to broadcast audio to listeners across the Internet. It streams digital audio, mainly in MP3 or AAC format. Common players include Windows Media Player, Winamp and iTunes.

What is Icecast?

Icecast is audio streaming software maintained by the Xiph.Org Foundation. It lets radio stations broadcast audio online and supports formats such as MP3, AAC and Ogg. Listeners can open the stream in any compatible player.

What is Centova Cast?

Centova Cast is a radio control panel made by Centova Technologies Inc, a Canadian company. It is one of the most popular online radio control panels and is known for its station management, reliability and customizable AutoDJ. It supports SHOUTcast and Icecast, and has a drag and drop file manager, advanced statistics reports and embeddable widgets.

What is SonicPanel?

SonicPanel is a control panel for internet radio, the current release from the team behind the now-discontinued WHMSonic. It manages audio files and playlists, runs the AutoDJ and has a schedule function so that radio hosts can plan their broadcasts.

What is an online radio station?

An online radio station is an audio service that is broadcast over the Internet. It is a modern alternative to traditional radio. To start one you choose a control panel (here Centova Cast or SonicPanel; AzuraCast is available separately on our AzuraCast plans) and a stream hosting account that gives you reliable sound quality.

Do I need technical server knowledge to use the radio service?

The control panels are user friendly, but a little knowledge helps. Our knowledge base has guides to get you started with your radio hosting, and you can ask our team for help by ticket.

Is there a refund policy with your Radio Hosting service?

Yes. Your first radio hosting order has a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied, ask for a refund within the first 30 days.
