Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: Softaculous in cPanel & WHM 138

If you installed an application yourself, you can import it into Softaculous so it can manage updates and backups for it.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel and open Softaculous Apps Installer (in the Software section).
  2. Open the application (for example WordPress) and click the Import tab.
  3. Choose From this server, select the domain and folder where it is installed.
  4. Click Import.

The installation now appears in Softaculous's list of installations. You can also import an installation from another server with From Remote Server.
