How to add a user to a database and add privileges?

A database user cannot use a database until it has been added to it with privileges.

Steps

1. Log in to cPanel (for example at https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area).
2. Open Databases › Manage My Databases.
3. If you do not have a user yet, create one under Database Users › Add New User.
4. Under Add User To Database, choose the User and the Database and click Add.
5. On Manage User Privileges, tick ALL PRIVILEGES, or only what the application needs (usually SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, ALTER, INDEX and DROP).
6. Click Make Changes.

To change privileges later, click the user's name in the Privileged Users column of Current Databases. To take access away, click the delete icon next to the user there.
