The Update Media Library does not actually update the library

Updated 1 min read

Updated: 11 October 2026 · Applies to: Centova Cast v3

If Update Media Library stops halfway, says it succeeded but does not show the library, a corrupt file is usually the cause, often one that did not finish uploading.

Fix

  1. Connect by FTP and look at the most recently uploaded files.
  2. Compare their sizes with the originals on your computer. Files of 0 bytes or smaller than the original are corrupt.
  3. Delete or re-upload them, then run Update Media Library again.
