WordPress shows "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension" when PHP has no MySQL driver loaded (the mysqli extension), or when a very old WordPress runs on a new PHP version.

Fix

  1. Update WordPress, its themes and plugins to current versions.
  2. Choose a supported PHP version in Software › MultiPHP Manager.
  3. Make sure the mysqli (or nd_mysqli) extension is enabled: in Software › Select PHP Version on CloudLinux servers, or ask support.
