How to permanently redirect a domain (301)?

Updated 1 min read

Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: Sentora

Sentora is an open-source hosting panel (a fork of ZPanel). To redirect a whole domain permanently (301), add a redirect to the domain's Apache configuration.

Steps

  1. Log in to Sentora as the admin user.
  2. Open Admin › Module Admin › Apache Config.
  3. Select the domain, choose to override its virtual host settings, and add:
    Redirect 301 / https://www.newdomain.com/
  4. Save and wait for the Apache configuration to be rebuilt.

Tip: A redirect in the domain's .htaccess file works too and does not need admin access.
