How to Increase Max Upload Size?

PHP's upload limit is set by upload_max_filesize and post_max_size. On a server you manage, change them in PHP's configuration file.

Steps (root)

  1. Find the configuration file: php --ini (for the web server, check a phpinfo() page).
  2. Set, for example:
    upload_max_filesize = 100M
    post_max_size = 110M
  3. Restart PHP-FPM or the web server.

On cPanel hosting, use Software › MultiPHP INI Editor instead (see "How to increase the size of uploaded files in PHP").
