How to update your WordPress installation?

WordPress updates bring security fixes and new features. Keep WordPress, themes and plugins up to date.

Back up your site first (for example with Softaculous or a backup plugin).
Log in to your WordPress dashboard (https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
Go to Dashboard › Updates.
Click Update to version … if a new WordPress version is available, then update plugins and themes in the lists below.

Minor security releases usually install automatically. You can enable automatic updates for plugins and themes from their lists.

Note: If the site shows "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance" after an update, delete the .maintenance file in the WordPress folder.
