The quickest way to install Joomla on our cPanel hosting is Softaculous. (Fantastico, another one-click installer mentioned in older guides, has been discontinued.)

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel and open Softaculous Apps Installer (in the Software section).
  2. Search for Joomla and click Install.
  3. Choose the domain and, if you like, a folder (leave it empty to install at the top of the domain).
  4. Enter the site name and the admin username, password and email.
  5. Click Install. Softaculous shows the site and administrator links when it finishes.

Tip: Tick automatic backups and upgrades in Softaculous's advanced options, so your Joomla stays up to date.
