Change your WordPress password when you are logged in, or reset it when you are not.

When logged in

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard (https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
  2. Go to Users › Profile.
  3. Under Account Management, click Set New Password, enter your new password and click Update Profile.

When you forgot it

  1. On the login page, click Lost your password?.
  2. Enter your username or email; WordPress emails a reset link.

If the email does not arrive, you can set a new password from cPanel's Softaculous (for installations made with it) or with WP-CLI: wp user update USERNAME --prompt=user_pass.
