Updated: 28 September 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (WHM, root access)
A package defines the limits and features of the cPanel accounts created with it: disk space, bandwidth, number of email accounts, databases, addon domains and so on.
Steps
- Log in to WHM as root (
https://your-server:2087). - Open Packages › Edit a Package.
- Select the package and click Edit.
- Change the values under Resources, Settings (such as the feature list and shell access) and any other sections.
- Click Save Changes.
The new limits apply to every account that uses the package. To change one account only, use Account Functions › Modify an Account.
Note: Lowering a limit below what accounts already use does not delete anything, but those accounts may be blocked from adding more (for example new email accounts) until they are under the limit.
