Updated: 11 October 2026 · Applies to: cPanel & WHM 138 (WHM, root access)

In WHM you can raise or lower how much data (bandwidth) a cPanel account may transfer each month.

Change one account

  1. Log in to WHM as root (https://your-server:2087).
  2. Open Account Functions › Limit Bandwidth Usage.
  3. Select the account and click Limit.
  4. Enter the new monthly limit in MB, or tick Unlimited, and click Change.

If the account was suspended for going over its limit, it is unsuspended automatically once the new limit is above its usage.

Change every account on a plan

Edit the package in Packages › Edit a Package and change its bandwidth value. You can also move one account to a bigger package in Account Functions › Upgrade/Downgrade an Account.
