phpMyAdmin can search every table in a database for a word or value, which helps you find where a setting or old URL is stored.

Steps

  1. Open phpMyAdmin (in cPanel: Databases › phpMyAdmin) and click the database in the left panel.
  2. Open the Search tab.
  3. Enter the text in Words or values to search for. Use % as a wildcard.
  4. Choose how to match (for example the exact phrase as substring).
  5. Select the tables to search (or Select all) and click Go.
  6. Click Browse next to a result to see the matching rows.

Tip: To search one table with conditions per column, open the table and use its own Search tab.
