MX records tell other mail servers where to deliver email for your domain. Add one when you use an outside email service, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Steps
- Log in to cPanel (for example at
https://yourdomain.com:2083, or from the Ucartz client area). - Open Domains › Zone Editor and click Manage next to the domain.
- Click the arrow next to + Add Record and choose MX. (You can also click + MX Record next to the domain on the main Zone Editor page.)
- Enter the Priority (a lower number is tried first) and the Destination mail server given by your email provider.
- Click Save Record.
If mail should no longer be delivered to this server, also open Email › Email Routing and choose Remote Mail Exchanger. Otherwise the server keeps delivering messages from your own website locally.
