How to setup hotlink protection in cPanel?

Hotlink protection is required when you want to prevent the accessibility of certain files by other websites. In this way, these websites cannot link to certain files directly. This feature is needed for images and to protect them from getting linked directly by other websites.

Note:

  1. Search for the Hot Link protection icon on the cPanel home page.
  2. First, you need to ensure that your websites are listed and then activate the hotlink protection.
  3. You need to enter the file types you want to protect through it and then click on the Submit button. That’s it.
