Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (Regulation) in July 2019 in its continuous endeavour to create a cleaner and transparent system in the India telecom industry and to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) along with enhancing mobile subscriber policy.

Telecom Regulatory Direction can be viewed Direction dated 20 Jan 2020 on implementation of TCCCPR_2018. With this communication, we would like to inform you that the above Regulation, which has mandated the use of blockchain technology also known as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to implement the solution.

 

All operators have already implemented the DLT system (Blockchain technology) and the first phase of the regulation is to register all Entity/Enterprise on New platform, which is mandatory. This is to inform you that Ucartz Online Pvt Ltd is registered Telemarketer on Operator's DLT Platform and we need/request you to proactively engage in this and register to comply with the new regulation.

 

Please note that anyone who fails to register will become non-compliant. Subsequently, enterprises (like your esteemed organisation) will then not be able to send A2P SMS to your end consumers. Therefore, we request you to complete the registration as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted services.

 

An entity has to pay INR 5,900/- (inclusive of taxes) as registration fees. We are attaching the list of documents required from your end so that we can register your entity with us. Below are the required documents for registration:

 

Business identity - PAN

Business entity Address proof - GST / TAN

Aadhaar Card scan copy

Letter of Authorization - Co. authorizing the individual

 

After submission, there will be a KYC verification process and post that your organization will get a unique Entity ID.
