What is Cachewall?

Cachewall is a feature-rich software package providing simple management of Varnish Cache.

You can find this server located at the entrance of the Apache server.
The caches regularly entered files in the memory. So when the application calls for these files, it is accepted from Cachewall rather than the core folders.

The server is guarded by both CentOS 6 and CentOS 7. And you can connect it both on the virtual and dedicated servers. Moreover, Cachewall is cooperative with all versions of cPanel, including LiteSpeed and EasyApache versions.

Steps to enable or disable Cachewall

To enable or disable Cachewall, you want to reach it from the cPanel menu and check for the settings. Do the following steps:

1) Log into cPanel with admin login credentials.

2) Go to the Software section and click on the tab "Cachewall" (If you didn't install the Cachewall, then it doesn't show. Then you need to install the cache wall and register at the official website).

4) You can see a lot of domain that your account is currently working cache and the settings for each website.

5) Then, you will be able to change each domain's settings or apply a universal set.

The three basic settings are as follows:

File Caching

There is an on/off option. Cachewall will keep saving web pages and files for these websites as long as they're kept on by keeping it as on. By default, you should regularly have files saving on for every website unless directed to disable it.

Purge Cache

Purging means deletion of the cached files stored permanently.
No need to on this setting if you always set the 'file caching option' as off.

Development Mode

When you start the development mode, the file saving is disabled automatically for 30 minutes. You only need to apply this when you deemed to work on your website and configure it. Once you completed, disable the development mode. Your file caching should work as usual after 30 minutes.

At times, you can see the caching and the website configuration struggle with each other.

To fix this, you require to disable the Cachewall from the Software region itself. So the file caching goes disabled for all the websites. Clear the cache and use the Cachewall back on. It should develop your website loading speed and performance.
